Authenticating documents for use outside the country where they were issued generally involves one of the following special certification procedures, depending on the country of issue and country of use:
Apostille Certification - an Apostille is a special government attestation of authenticity that is recognised in 117 countries (signatories to the Apostille Convention). A document affixed with an Apostille in the country where it was issued will be directly recognized as valid by the authorities in the country where the document is to be submitted or use.
Document Legalization - if your document is issued in a country that is not a signatory to the Apostille Convention or if you intend to submit/use it in a country that is not a signatory, then your document will require special certification by the authorities of both the issuing and destination country. This is a procedure known as consular legalization.
We arrange attestation through both Apostille Certification and Consular Legalization. We work internationally with local specialists, including law firms, notaries and certified translators, to provide a fast and secure start-to-finish service with worldwide delivery and collection of documents by secure courier.
The exact procedures and costs of attesting documents depend on the type of documents, the country of issue and use, and the urgency of the process. We will confirm the total price in advance, inclusive of all fees and taxes, so you’ll know exactly what the process will cost you before confirming the order.
